Asma' bint 'Umays R


Asma'
bint 'Umays R was one of the wives of Abu Bakr R.

Abu Bakr R was a close friend of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S and the first adult male to convert to Islam.

First person to convert to Islam was Khadijah bint Khuwaylid R. She was the first wife of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S.

Abu Bakr R became the first Khalifah (Caliph) of Muslims.

Asma' bint 'Umays R was the mother of Muhammad bin Abu Bakr R.

Asma' bint 'Umays R was earlier married to Ja'far bin Abu Talib R, one of the brothers of 'Ali bin Abu Talib R.

'Ali bin Abu Talib R was the fourth Khalifah (Caliph) of Muslims.

Ja'far bin Abu Talib R had migrated in the first Hijrah (Migration) to Habash (Ethiopia). In Habash (Ethiopia), Ja'far bin Abu Talib R was the leader of the migrant Muslims.

After the death of Abu Bakr R, 'Ali bin Abu Talib R married Asma' bint 'Umays R.

Ja'far bin Abu Talib R and his brother, 'Ali bin Abu Talib R, were the grandsons of 'Abdul Muttalib.

The Messenger of Allah, Muhammad S, the last Rasul (Messenger) of Allah (God) was also a grandson of 'Abdul Muttalib.
